Pero nevertheless, PROUD AKO KAY LITTLE BRO. Awww. Well, Mana sa ate. hahahah. So aun nga since manalo-matalo, celebrate pden according to psychology to boost a child's esteem at hnde sha mag-wallow sa failure nia, tinreat kame ng dad ko sa paboritong kainan ni Iggy kahet saan daw na gusto nia.
Tapos, after nun, nagpunta kame sa Natio to buy some books. Kelangan kasi ni Mau ng isang book na written by a filipino author pero english ung ginamit as a medium for writing so being a good ate (ahhaha), tumulong ako. And I came across this book.
LAUGH TRIP: Dalawang komedya
by Chris Martinez
It is actually a monologue of two comedies.
1. Welcome to Intel Star- monologue on call centers in the Philippines. Reminds me of the Hindus pretending to be call center people in America and other countries even when they're in India. Wow, look at how hard people try just to have a taste of how it is like to be an American. Izzinit (call center lingo for Isn't it) amazing? Friends, note the sarcasm. If people could actually put all that effort in contributing to the prosperity of our country then it the effort would be of something productive and would be of use. I mean, come on. We can't rise from being a third world country if we stay in the shadow of our colonizers. If we do that, like what Rizal said, the lives sacrificed by our heroes to fight for our freedom would be for nothing because we are still living as slaves.
2. Sa Sabado sa Sam's - this monologue, on the other hand, is basically about four friends who had their own... uh, how can I put this?... difficulties and extremeties. There. Basically, that's how it was but despite these extremeties, they still managed to become friends. It's all about acceptance after all.
- there was this one part of this monologue which was as funny as hell. hahah. Well, for me because as you might now, I'm pretty shallow when it comes to these things. And it is witty. Maybe I should try saying this to my vain kid sister some time. hahaha.
